Dear colleagues,
We are excited to announce that EHP launched an Early Career Researcher Initiative to engage early career researchers (ECRs) in the life of the journal.
To help guide us with this effort, we appointed a team of early career researchers to EHP’s pilot Early Career Researcher Initiative Advisory Panel (ECRI-AP), which includes two bright scientists from the NIEHS:
Madelyn C. (Mimi) Huang, PhD
Division of the National Toxicology Program, NIEHS
Postdoctoral Intramural Research Training Award Fellow
Alexandra (Lexie) White, PhD, MSPH
Environment & Cancer Epidemiology Group, NIEHS
Stadtman Investigator
The panel is focused on researching and providing input on a variety of activities that may be valuable to individuals in the early stages of their careers (up to and including assistant professorship or equivalent).
As an initial step in our Early Career Researcher Initiative, EHP is actively encouraging established reviewers to mentor an ECR during the review process. We invite our friends at the NIEHS to participate in mentored peer review and to share this news with their networks.
For updates on this initiative and other EHP news, follow @ehponline on Twitter and Facebook and sign up to receive our monthly table of contents via email.
Thanks,
Judy
